Comments: I would give Dr. Reed TEN STARS if I could! As the 5th (!!) surgeon I have seen for my foot injury, he and his in-person staff have been the most respectful and professional; listening with compassion, explaining things well, and taking the time to thoroughly review my injury and potential solutions. He is exceptionally present and kind; light years beyond the folks I saw at Kaiser and elsewhere and I am so relieved to finally have competent care.Edit: after a *perfect* surgery, unfortunately my aftercare experiences were pretty horrible for several weeks due to poor pain management, understaffing, long wait times on phone, snotty PAs, lost paperwork, not getting calls back, difficulty obtaining prior Auth for necessary meds due to lost paperwork and not getting calls back, but seeing Dr. Reed for follow ups was always a highlight because he listens, cares, follows up, is honest, and responsive to email. He seemed pained that I was in pain and not having the great experience he strives for. The org is under new mgmt and « figuring it out » and I am finally ten weeks out, healed up, walking again, and couldn’t be happier with the results. My friend had a similar surgery at Kaiser a month after mine and looking at her X-rays… yikes. Go with Dr Reed, just make sure you are ready to advocate for yourself and get as much info before surgery as possible (same advice for any dr!)
